Calliope, Jackie Frost Trio's third CD, contains all original material, a collaborative effort between writers Danny Hughes, Daniel Clarke, Malcolm Pulley, and Jackie Frost. In addition to the Trio, Musicians performing on Calliope include Daniel Clarke (piano and vocals), Curtis Fye (acoustic bass), Billy Lux (acoustic bass), Malcolm Pulley (mandolin), and Robby Sinclair (percussion). Calliope tracks reflect the versatility and diverse musical interests of the JFT, from pop flavored ballads to bluegrass flavored up-tempo tunes, all recorded, mixed and mastered at Slipped Disc in Ashland, VA by Grammy winning engineer Bill McElroy.
